Spray Tanning Parties!

Here is what it is:

 A group of girls, five at least, get together at your house, hotel, or office and everyone is tanned in one convenient session! It is a perfect way to get ready for a Special Occasion, Swimsuit Competitions, Pre-prom, Bachelorette parties or even to just put a fun twist on girls night in!

How it works:

A Spray Tan tech will arrive at your location and set up a pop up tent. This is where every girl will stand while they are getting tanned to avoid any over spray. It takes about 15-20 minutes per application.
*Most of the Spray Tanning companies I have talked to about this actually offer a free spray to the host (Including Cali Color Spray Tanning) Talk about a fun way to save money!

Spray Tanning: The safe way to tan

Don't want to put your health at risk with the sun's damaging rays, but don't want to miss out on that gorgeous sun-kissed glow? Consider the safe alternative: Sunless Tanning. Start by understanding how sunless tanning products work.

What is a sunless tan?

 Sunless tanning, most commonly known as Spray Tanning or Airbrush Tanning will give your skin a tanned look without exposing it to harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays.
 The active ingredient in most sunless tanning products is dihydroxyacetone (DHA). When applied to the skin, DHA reacts with dead cells in the outermost layer of skin to temporarily darken the skin's appearance. The coloring doesn't wash off, but it gradually fades over 7-10 days.

What is so dangerous about tanning beds?

1- Exposure to tanning beds before age 35 increases the risk of melanoma by 75% but melanoma is not the only risk. Tanning bed users are 2.5 times more likely to develop squamous cell carcinoma and 1.5 times more likely to develop basal cell carcinoma.

2- Nearly 30 million people use tanning booths a year. 2.3 million of these are teenagers, who are at the  highest risk for skin damage.

3-There is no such thing as a “safe” tan or “base” tan. This does not prevent further skin damage from subsequent sun exposure.

4-Both sunburns and suntans are due to damage to the skin cells that can lead to skin cancer, premature aging and pre-cancerous skin conditions. Skin cancer risk doubles with five or more sunburns in a lifetime, but just one bad sunburn can double the risk of melanoma.

Skin cancer is the number one cancer diagnosis in the United States - more common than all breast, prostate, and lung cancers combined.
