There are so many rumors about spray tanning/sunless tanning turning people orange.... and while sure, I suppose it does turn some people orange. It NEVER will, when applied correctly and using the correct type of sunless tanner. The tricky part is that no one brand of solution will work for everyone. For example and like I have said before, Norvell is great for people who already have a little bit of color, but use that on a very fair girl with red hair, and yes, she will turn orange! Some spray tanning salons only carry one brand! That clearly isn't going to make every customer have a perfect tan! Cali Color Spray Tanning has five different brands of solutions and every brand have varying colors!
*Alcohol based tanning solutions also tend to dry out skin and typically just have a very orange-y undertone to them. They are, in my opinion best to avoid!
*Also, don't try to go too dark too fast. Gradually over time and after a few spray tanning sessions you will get darker, but going too dark too fast will turn you orange! Additionally, when the tan starts to fade it will be very brutal.
